Yes, it’s a fine day to plan for your emergency preparedness or great outdoor needs. After all, today is the day the toothbrush was invented in China in the year 1498. No matter what Freeze Dried Food you eat, thank goodness DuPont came up with today’s nylon bristles. Did you know the original toothbrush bristles were actually hairs taken from the necks of animals? It was that way until 1938.

Finally on this day in 1977, the legendary Elvis Presley was in Indianapolis, Indiana making the last performance of his career. Even if you weren’t lucky enough to have been there, look at the bright side. Tomorrow you have a chance to feel and act like “The King” of your own food storage castle.

“Thank you very much.”

  2. Harold says:

Come on, Cher’s still making TV appearences today. I’m not 100 yo, but I know who John Phillip Sousa, Scott Joplin and Spike Jones were.
I’m delighted to be my age and actually learned something in all these years.

  3. WebVetter says:

Cher was the underage runaway who Sunny Bono turned into other half of the music duo Sonny & Cher. Later in life they divorced, she went cougar and he went politician.
